I'm reading the Golden Compass by Phillip Pullman. yay! But when I brought it to school my two religious friends attacked me saying that the book is pure evil and that any real christian wouldn't read it. I told them off though. They were judging the movie and not the book. And I personally don't see anything offensive in the book or the movie. I swear our society is so stupid to claim everything either racist or anti-christian. Just because the author has different views on religion everybody has to go up into a rampage about it. The Golden Compass both ways is very clean and very good, and I would know I'm christian. I love the book so far! Shame on people who have to bring these things into everything and not let others state their own opinions. Shame on people for bringing down an awesome book! You know, it really just sickens me. The next time my friend starts bad-mouthing the Golden Compass I'm gonna flip her off.
